SeedCon 2026 – The First International Conference on Seed Microbiome and Microbial Inheritance
May 5–7, 2026 | Potsdam, Germany
Abstract
The SeedCon 2026 Abstract Book compiles peer-contributed and invited abstracts presented at the first international conference dedicated to the seed microbiome and microbial inheritance. The collection covers key themes including seed-associated microbial community assembly, vertical transmission across plant generations, plant–microbe interactions, and the functional and ecological roles of microbiomes in plant health and adaptation.
Contributions span experimental, computational, and ecological approaches, providing a comprehensive overview of current research in seed microbiome science. Topics include microbial inheritance mechanisms, host–microbiome co-evolution, microbiome-driven plant resilience, and applications in sustainable agriculture.
